DOI FIRES is a secure web-based recruitment system that allows you to apply for temporary fire positions within the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and the National Park Service (NPS) online. Common Mistakes When Applying to DOI FIRES Vacancies: Not including hours for each individual season or position Be sure to include the number of Hours worked per week for ALL seasons and positions held. One year of experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week (full-time). Part-time hours will be prorated. You will NOT receive any credit for a position listed that does not include hours. Not including months and/or years for each individual season or position Be sure to include From and To dates (month/year to month/year) for each season and position held (Ex: 05/2018 to 08/2018).
